Swiss Airbus A330-300 to New York JFK

Same dude, different plane
Swiss Air cross trains its pilots to fly both the A340 and A330, so we get the same captain who flew us to San Francisco in the very nice A340 Blu-Ray to fly us to New York here. He's very excited by his work, his english is excellent, and he does a fine job explaining, so we're happy. We have to listen to him sing on this video, however, which is not so exciting.

The first 1:45 of the disc is the dispatcher preparing the flight plan and the pre-flight briefing, which are obviously very thorough and complete, and actually interesting, though maybe not as interesting as going to San Francisco was.

Just Planes makes makes excellent use of their camera angles and visuals for most of the next 2:45 which is the two flights, with a little filler in it as well (but less than most of their Blu-Rays).

They really still haven't figured out how to make good use of the media, but the two Swiss Blu-Rays are probably the best: long sequences from different...

Udo keeps getting better
This Blu-ray and the Swiss A340 to San Francisco were the 5th and 6th JustPlanes video I've purchased. These videos are not traditional documentaries nor are they cinéma vérité. If you think that sentence was too long and boring then you probably wouldn't enjoy these videos.

In this video Flight Dispatcher Christopher Knox, Captain Luciano Covolan and First Officer Peter Rothen do an excellent job of explaning what they are doing and why. And Captain Covolan expresses his love of flying quite eloquently at the...
