Vedanta: A Blueprint for Everyday Life

Vedanta: A Blueprint for Everyday Life
Vedanta: A Blueprint for Everyday Life

It will be difficult to find another DVD made anywhere by anyone that can top this one for "practical spirituality in action". We are born/live in such a confused, mostly materialistic society. It is so refreshing and inspiring to hear and feel "peers" share their experience and provide a navigation map to enhance and deify our lives.

Dear friends, Indeed a excellent idea to make the video available for everyone. Congratulations. Permit me to suggest you to repeat it with both nuns and monks.
Yours in the Lord, Luiz Antonio

A great introduction to Vedanta philosophy
If you have ever been remotely interested in spiritual life, or Hinduism, or have wondered why any one, in this day and age, would devote their life to monasticism, this is the DVD for you.
A panel of six middle aged western Hindu nuns explain with great humor and charm how they started on the monastic path as young women. They offer practical advice tinged with humor and a great deal of humility, on how to cope with many of the challenges we all meet at some point in our lives; how to deal with difficult people, negative thinking, fear, anger, stress, overwhelming desires and negative events beyond our control.
In the second half of the DVD the nuns explain many of the essential concepts of Hinduism such and Brahmin and the Atman, Karma and Maya.I found this part of the DVD particularly informative and fascinating. These charming ladies explain Vedantic philosophy clearly and succinctly. This ancient philosophy is complicated, and not so easy for a westerner to comprehend...
